Business Manager – Agchem CRO Services


Northern UK - site or remote base, Home Based




A very rare opportunity for a well-connected agrochemical industry professional to lead the ongoing development and growth of a specialist agrochemical development and testing research centre. Reporting directly to top management, the role will involve line management of all UK staff, close liaison with EU offices and the regulatory team and, business development.

The company offers a range of specialist testing services for biopesticides and chemical pesticides; they have a well-established and long-term client list; planned growth has created increased test capacity and a new range of services – your role will be to oversee and facilitate this growth; business development activities will include input to the design and development of technical marketing materials, networking with new and existing clients, preparation of proposals and quotes, and attending conferences and other industry meetings.

Suitable candidates must have a good understanding of the pesticide development process and a deep understanding of the agrochemical industry. You could have a background in regulatory affairs / registrations of PPPs, regulatory testing within a CRO environment or business development. You must have outstanding communication skills, be a natural people person, be able to develop business and new clients and have team management / supervision skills.
