We are looking to recruit a high calibre and dynamic chemical management professional to join an expanding team working on the implementation of REACH across a group of companies. Ideally you will have a scientific qualification (chemistry/chemical engineering or materials science) along with industrial experience in the chemical industry, ideally working with REACH.
This will be a varied and challenging role requiring a range of experience and knowledge including exposure assessment and exposure scenarios focusing on human health end-points (occupational settings), classification requirements (CMR substances of interest), the REACH Restriction process and/or REACH Authorisation process, and ideally some Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and/or Socioeconomic Assessments (SEA) for REACH. You will provide support with collection of data/information from the consortium members and downstream user companies/sector groups, prepare detailed technical summaries on the information collected, and the uses of substances in various applications and assist in preparation of technical documents for submission into public consultations, and to the Regulators.
Suitable candidates must have some chemical regulatory experience, ideally with REACH and knowledge of the downstream chemical industry. You may be from a health & safety, occupational hygiene or regulatory background; you must have downstream chemical industry experience / knowledge. You will be a confident communicator able to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and write high quality technical reports and summaries.
