(Chemical Regulatory Affairs Specialist)

Leicestershire, Midlands

Negotiable + bens

An excellent opportunity to join an East Midlands based chemicals company with a very diverse global products range; they are looking to complement their Technical Services team with a Regulatory Affairs Specialist; key duties will be to ensure the compliance of the global product range, to manage and produce hazard communication documents, to support R&D and provide timely replies to customer regulatory questions.

This is a broad role covering many different regulatory regions and chemistries; you will have overall responsibility for SDS authoring and management, raw material regulatory approvals, the regulatory elements of labels and packaging, to be the main point of contact for all regulatory enquiries relating to CLP, GHS, REACH, K-REACH, TSCA, BPR etc; and to keep up to date with changes to global chemical legislation that impact the products. You will work with a close knit and well-motivated team.

We are very interested to hear from interested applicants who have a degree/higher degree in chemistry and existing chemical regulatory experience. Ideally you will have SDS management and REACH experience along with a good understanding of chemical hazard classification. Raw material approval and supplier compliance check experience would also be useful. They are happy to provide training but you must have some experience ie SDSs or REACH. It is essential that you are not phased by new regulations and are able to apply your knowledge of regulatory principles to new and emerging regulations. This is a very broad and diverse global role – an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and career!
