Description

An opportunity for an experienced chemical regulatory affairs specialist to join a global speciality chemical company. The role will entail maintenance of chemical regulatory compliance in the assigned geographic region, analyse and implement changes to chemical regulations and legislation, development of processes/ amended processes in response to regulatory change and provision of expert regulatory support to the business.

You will join a large team multi-disciplinary team who have responsibility for ensuring ongoing compliance of the company’s highly complex global products. Your role will have accountability for proactively maintaining chemical regulatory compliance in a particular region; you will support new product development activities, support REACH processes, monitor / assess the impact of regional chemical regulatory developments, communicate the scope of changes to the business and, update regulatory processes to ensure a high level of ongoing regulatory compliance.

We are looking for an experienced chemical regulatory / product stewardship professional with a proven track record with a chemical manufacturer (or consultancy). You must be able to demonstrate strong understanding of chemical regulations eg REACH, CLP/GHS. You will have broad experience covering hazard classifications, hazard communication, exposure scenarios and chemical product compliance. Ideally you will have some experience of implementing regulatory changes and the management of regulatory projects. In addition to the regulatory knowledge, you must also be a confident communicator who is able to present and explain complex regulatory issues to a mixed audience.
