Are you a Development or Analytical Chemist who is interested in moving into regulatory affairs? Do you have a good understanding of the hazard classification of the raw materials you work with and experience of multi-component mixtures? We are looking for high calibre chemists who would like to move into regulatory affairs – you will benefit from a comprehensive training program and be able to develop expertise in the authoring of regulatory documents including SDSs (safety data sheets), labels and DG transport documents. The role is with the Product Stewardship department of a major global chemical company; you will manage the compliance of a range of finished products sold in global markets. This will be a highly challenging role working on the regulatory compliance of a diverse range of chemical – you will receive full training in CLP / GHS and any other relevant chemical legislation.
Suitable candidates will have a chemistry-based degree ideally (BSc / MSc or PhD) and existing familiarity with hazard communication documents eg Safety Data Sheets. Some understanding of CLP / GHS would be useful – experience of COSHH assessments would be a great help. You must be genuinely interested in regulatory affairs – and be able to explain this at interview.
