Description

We are looking for an Environmental Risk Assessor to join a successful and expanding regulatory and risk assessment consultancy. You are likely to have a specialism in either environmental fate or ecotoxicology – the role will involve working on both. You will be joining a highly regarded and experienced team, receive ongoing training and development, focus on delivery of technical project work, have no / minimal commercial pressure and, have the opportunity to be involved in regulatory science R&D.

You will support the environmental risk assessment of agrochemical, chemical and biocide products along with some involvement in veterinary and human pharmaceutical products. Projects include data assessment, data sourcing, waivers, modelling, interpretation, and expert report writing. You will receive training in the latest best industry practice and develop / maintain skills at the cutting edge of regulatory science. The team is friendly, talented, committed to excellent science, and to the personal and technical development of their colleagues.

We are interested to hear from applicants who have a higher degree/PhD in a regulatory science topic related to the environmental risk assessment of chemicals; you must also have experience of working on either environmental fate or ecotoxicology risk assessments in a consultancy setting, industry or competent authority. You must have an excellent scientific understanding of, and deep interest in the environmental fate of chemicals and environmental fate data generation along with a strong scientific pedigree, good numeracy, and strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
