Operations Manager - Crop Protection

A rare opportunity to join the close-knit team at the EU headquarters of a successful international agrochemical business. As Operations Manager, your role will be to take responsibility for day-today operations, lead by example, provide inspired and supportive leadership, and improve systems and processes to ensure and set-up future success.

This is a successful international business with a diverse range of activities including product development, product launches, imports/exports, product registrations, formulation, shipping, finance etc; it is a complex, challenging and interesting business with a global product portfolio. Your duties will include liaison with and support to top management, decision making, setting strategic goals, planning, overseeing budgeting and reporting, recruitment, and training, motivating / supervising the team. You will also have the opportunity to review and continuously improve systems, processes, and policies – opportunity to really make you mark.

We are looking for an experienced candidate with previous operations management / supervision experience, ideally in a similar business i.e., formulated chemical products. This is a SME business with a small, close-knit team, excellent ethos and established working culture. You must be a proven organiser, have leadership ability, good relationship building skills, be a people person, a problem solver, be analytical and have the ability to understand the technical issues and constraints faced by the business. Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of diverse business functions, be systematic and process driven and able to enhance and improve efficiencies and processes. You may have a qualification in a business, operations, or project management discipline, along with proven operations supervision / coordination / management experience.
