An opportunity for a recent PhD graduate to become an Environmental Risk Assessor with a successful and expanding regulatory and product risk assessment consultancy. You will help chemical and agchem clients with complex and challenging projects in environmental fate, fate modelling, environmental toxicology and risk assessments.

The risk assessment team supports the development and defence of agrochemical products and active substances. You will work on a mix of projects including small problem solving jobs and large development projects. You will be involved in all aspects of projects including providing expert advice, data gap analysis, sourcing data, study monitoring, exposure analysis, modelling and application of bespoke risk assessment techniques. You will investigate both effects and fate and conduct environmental fate modelling.

Applications are invited from candidates with a PhD in an environmental chemistry, fate or (eco)toxicology related subject along with a strong knowledge / interest in the fate and behaviour of chemical compounds in the environment. Ideally your thesis will have researched a new risk assessment or modelling technique or have some relevance to the environmental assessment of chemical products. Full and on-going training is part of the package. Candidates must be innovative self starters with good communication skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to learn quickly and to be able to fit into a small team of specialists.
