An opportunity to join an expanding REACH team and take an active role in the running of a number of REACH consortia. You will work closely with the REACH consortium manager and provide support including work on exposure scenarios / exposure assessments, substance classification, data gathering for socio-economic assessment and analysis of alternatives, and the preparation of detailed technical summaries and documents. You will gain detailed insight and experience in the REACH authorisation process and how this is managed in a professionally run REACH consortium. You will work closely with colleagues, technical specialists and consortia members / downstream users. An excellent opportunity.
We are interested in hearing from chemistry or materials science graduates who have practical experience of REACH in industry. Ideally you will have knowledge of the authorisation process and some previous experience with socio-economic analysis. You must have a good knowledge of chemical safety data and documents, and ideally hazard classification experience. You must be a confident communicator and able to work on a variety of tasks with changing priorities in a very busy environment. This will initially be a contract; immediate start is available.
