An opportunity to join a successful and expanding UK trade association; due to planned expansion of service for members, they are recruiting a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join the team.

Duties will be varied and will include provision of regulatory support to members to help maintain compliance with chemical regulatory and legislative frameworks. This will be delivered via on site consultancy, at meetings, through seminars and workshops, by writing explanatory briefings and via telephone and email support. You will advise of pending regulatory changes and what they may mean to members’ businesses and assist in minimising the costs of regulatory compliance.

We are looking for someone with detailed knowledge of the chemical industry’s regulatory framework and its practical application; this will include REACH, CLP, carriage of Dangerous Goods, import / export of hazardous substances, tariffs, rules of origin and Responsible Care. It is essential you have good communication and interpersonal skills; you are likely to have presentation experience and be able to explain complex regulatory issues to mixed audiences of technical, regulatory, commercial and management level members.
