A rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced chemical regulatory affairs / product stewardship / hazard communication professional to join a global speciality chemical company. This company is serious about compliance and has a highly proactive approach; in response to pending developments and the increasing complexity of chemical regulations they are looking for a specialist to track, analysis and implement changes to chemical regulations and legislation in the EMEA.
You will join a large team who ensure the ongoing compliance of the company’s highly complex products; your role will be to identify, monitor and track regulatory changes, to conduct impact assessments, communicate your findings to the business and to lead the implementation of the solution.
We are looking for an experienced chemical regulatory / product stewardship professional who has a proven track record with a chemical manufacturer or consultancy and who can demonstrate in-depth understanding of chemical regulations such as REACH and CLP. You will have broad experience covering SDS authoring, classifications, hazard communication, exposure scenarios and chemical product compliance along with specific experience of analysing, interpreting and assessing the impact of regulatory changes and developments. Ideally you will have some experience of implementing solutions to regulatory changes and the management of regulatory projects. An understanding of REACH registration processes would be useful but is not essential; experience with exposure scenarios would also be advantageous. In addition to the regulatory knowledge, you must also be a confident communicator who is able to present and explain complex regulatory issues to a mixed audience.
