An opportunity for a Regulatory Ecotoxicologist to join an expanding North Yorkshire based consultancy. Your role will involve supporting the registration of agchem and biocide substances and products in EU markets. You will join a small team of ecotoxicologists and work in conjunction with a well established team of technical specialists focussing on toxicology, environmental fate, agronomy and chemistry. Duties in this desk based role will include ecotoxicology data assessment and gap analysis, defending the use of existing data, developing testing strategies, commissioning and monitoring ecotoxicology studies, dossier preparation, environmental risk assessment and providing expert ecotoxicological advice and argumentation to secure product registrations. There is an excellent working environment and many of your colleagues are leading experts in their fields in the EU.
Ideal candidates will have a degree / higher degree in a relevant subject along with proven experience in ecotoxicology. Desk based regulatory ecotoxicology experience is of particular interest; you may have a terrestrial or aquatic specialism or a good grounding in both. Knowledge of agchem regulations and requirements is also important. You must be motivated to excel in your field and further develop your expertise, and your must be a confident communicator with strong scientific writing ability. An excellent opportunity.
