We are looking for a Regulatory Ecotoxicologist to join a specialist agchem regulatory affairs team. You will provide support to the ecotoxicology section of dossiers and act as project lead – the role would suit an aquatic or terrestrial ecotoxicologist with current desk based regulatory and risk assessment experience.
Your role will be to focus on providing ecotoxicology expertise and will also include taking on management of project activities of the whole team, including different technical disciplines (toxicology, chemistry, fate etc) and be principle contact point for clients. The ecotoxicology element will include data assessment, review and interpretation, commissioning and monitoring studies, dossier preparation, risk assessments and, providing expert ecotoxicological advice and argumentation for product defence and registrations. You will be encouraged to identify, investigate and implement new ideas which bring advantages to the quality or efficiency of the regulatory team.
This is an excellent opportunity to establish yourself as the ecotoxicology specialist in an expanding regulatory affairs and risk assessment department.
Ideal candidates will have a post graduate qualification in a scientific subject (chemistry, ecotoxicology or toxicology) and a sound understanding of regulatory and practical ecotoxicology. Specific knowledge of birds, mammals, soil organisms, non-target arthropods and bees would be of great interest; equally aquatic experience is also very relevant. Regulatory affairs experience is essential. You must be motivated to excel in your field and further develop your expertise, and you must be a confident communicator with strong scientific writing ability. An excellent opportunity.
