A unique opportunity to take the newly created role of Regulatory Science Manager at a successful and expanding environmental risk assessment and regulatory consultancy. This key new technical role will take responsibility for researching and developing new expert services; you will research and analyse regulatory science developments and trends, then identify and develop innovative technical solutions. You will lead the development of in-house regulatory science expertise and help ensure the company remains at the forefront of developments and expands its ability to deliver technical excellence.
You will join this award-winning team at a time of exciting expansion and play a lead role by developing the in-house technical capability of the team and establishing new technical services in response to chemical regulatory science developments. You will use your understanding of the expert disciplines in chemical / agrochemical regulatory risk assessment and the delivery of regulatory and risk assessment services to horizon scan and spot global trends, developments and the corresponding gaps in supply and technical capability. You will manage R&D programmes to evolve concepts into new technical services and products and, manage the development of the team’s expert level skills. In summary, you will be the technical brains behind the development of new regulatory science solutions and you will provide technical support to the operations and commercial teams who will take the new offerings to market.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chemical sector regulatory scientist / professional who has a detailed understanding of chemical regulatory science and risk assessment and, a strong interest in the direction of change of chemical regulation. You are likely to have experience in chemical, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals or veterinary products; you will have expert knowledge of a discipline (eg toxicology, ecotoxicology or environmental fate) and crucially, you will have deep insight into how regulatory science can address emerging regulatory issues. You must have strong analytical and critical thinking ability, be able to lead, motivate and inspire, have project leading experience and have some commercial awareness.
