Description

An opportunity for an experienced toxicologist to take a high-profile Scientific Programme Management role with a global chemical sector trade association and REACH consortium. This broad and challenging role will manage and support development of an existing science programme for the industry to defend products in the face of increasing regulatory pressures across Europe, USA, Asia-Pacific and other key global markets.

We are looking for an experienced toxicologist and project manager to:
- Manage and deliver the scientific programme for product defence in all global jurisdictions.
- This will include highly complex and large-scale substance evaluation and toxicological programmes.
- Ensure the scientific programme generates data according to the latest guidelines/new methods and approaches
- Is managed in the most cost effective and ethical ways in order to address the concerns of regulators.

This will involve managing the collaboration with external laboratories and coordinating the work of expert consultants to ensure that they are effectively utilised and the costs are effectively managed.

We would like to hear from experienced toxicologists:
- Ideally with a post-graduate / doctorate degree in toxicology
- A substantial industry track record in toxicology and scientific project management roles.
- Experience with inorganic substances, metals or organic toxicology.
- Experienced in dealing with competent authorities, ECHA and national regulatory bodies.
- Experience in collaboration with trade associations or the chemical industry would be a plus.

This role is to be based remotely anywhere in the UK; we are open to full-time and part-time options so are interested to hear from consultants or full-time employed toxicologists.
