SDS Author / Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Exciting opportunity to join a global chemical products business and take responsibility for regulatory compliance in the UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. This will be a highly diverse and challenging role maintaining the compliance of a global product range that is sold into many industry sectors.

This role will involve managing the compliance of c. 300 formulated chemical products; duties will include SDS authoring (using GHS Pro), labelling, raw material compliance checks, finished product compliance in local markets, declarations of compliance, Poison Centre Notifications, maintenance of approvals for specific industry sectors (eg automotive), legislation/regulatory monitoring and responding to customer regulatory requests. You will work closely with the UK based technical and commercial team and be able to collaborate with regulatory colleagues based in the EU.

Suitable candidates are likely to have a degree in a chemical / toxicology related discipline and a proven track record of regulatory compliance within a chemical products business. You are likely to have a good understanding of CLP / GHS, be able to author SDSs and labels, understand REACH and have natural ability to be able to read/interpret and apply new legislation. You must be proactive and self-starting able to use initiative and take responsibility to ensure compliance. You must have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.
