South Manchester / North Cheshire, North West
We are looking for a chemical regulatory affairs / compliance / hazard communication officer to join the regulatory compliance team of an international specialty chemicals company. The department acts as a central regulatory resource across a number of group businesses; business growth means they need additional support. A key part of the role will be to author and manage SDSs / safety data sheets along with a range of other activities.
Working closely with colleagues and the Regulatory Manager, you will perform a variety of tasks to ensure that the company’s products are compliant with worldwide regulations, and that the customers have the regulatory documentation, assurances and advice they need. Specific tasks include SDS authoring, labels, DG classifications, REACH compliance, supplier raw material / substance regulatory data checking, coordination of product testing, and contribution to the management of various QMS / quality management systems.
Suitable candidates are likely to have a chemistry related qualification and, ideally, some experience in regulatory affairs / compliance / hazard communication in the chemical sector. Previous SDS authoring experience is preferred. You must have an eye for detail, high levels of organisation and confident communication skills – you will be communicating with and supporting a wide range of functions including management and sales.
