Description

An opportunity for an experienced Environmental Fate Specialist / Environmental Fate Modeller to take a senior role in a team of Environmental Fate technical experts. In addition to challenging technical work for clients, focussing on the development of higher tier approaches, you will be actively encouraged to further develop your expertise via internal and external training, participation in scientific working group and forums, attendance of conferences, and publishing and presenting papers. This expertise will enable to development of highly innovative environmental fate approaches, enhancing both your own and the company’s industry reputation.

Your role will be to develop and conduct innovative approaches to assess the environmental fate and behaviour of pesticides to support active substance approvals and product authorisations. You will deliver technical work in areas including higher tier approaches/advanced risk assessments, bespoke risk assessment tools and problem solving, development and utilisation of higher tier fate and exposure studies, predictive exposure modelling, conceptual models for environmental release and distribution, and kinetics. You will also commission, monitor, coordinate and interpret experimental studies, and prepare technical reports and regulatory registration dossiers in compliance with national / international guidance and regulatory requirements.

You will work on challenging client delivery projects and environmental fate chemical science R&D projects on behalf of government bodies. The ability to ‘think outside the box’ and deliver innovative solutions to the complex risk assessment issues will encouraged in the role. We hope you will have an established reputation / proven track record in field of environmental fate modelling of chemicals (in particular pesticides). You will work as part of a multidisciplinary workforce of scientific and regulatory specialists.
