Description
An opportunity to join the Product Stewardship team at a global high-performance material/chemical business. We are looking for an experienced chemical regulatory generalist who has EU REACH experience, knowledge of similar global schemes and the ability to be able to research issues, work out costs and strategy and project manage the solution.
The company manufactures a range of high purity chemicals for global markets; the Product Stewardship team is responsible for compliance with EU and global legislation. Duties include tracking regulatory changes, assessing the impact of changes on products, product registrations, interactions with ORs, Consortia and SIEFs, and the management of external expert consultants. We are looking for a generalist with a broad knowledge of chemical legislation (CLP, REACH etc), the ability to research and learn application regulations eg food contact / automotive etc and some knowledge of global / US schemes eg TSCA. Having the confidence and ability to research new regulations, regulations you aren’t familiar with, regulatory solutions, costs and to set strategy is very important.
Candidates are likely to have a science / chemistry qualification or background along with current chemical regulatory affairs knowledge. This is a generalist / project management role – you will be setting strategy for regulatory solutions and managing regulatory programmes via 3rd party providers eg SDS authors, REACH consultants, toxicologists etc. This will be a diverse and challenging role – an excellent opportunity to work on a global scale.
