We are looking for a human exposure specialist to lead a team of exposure risk assessors. This is an opportunity for an aspiring team leader or for someone with existing supervisory experience. Your role will be to supervise / lead a small team, provide technical input into exposure projects, coordinate project workload, mentor and develop team members and liaise directly with clients as the human health exposure assessment specialist.

This role is with a well-established chemical regulatory compliance / safety assessment consultancy. They have a multi-disciplinary team of regulatory scientists supporting a wide variety of research, development and regulatory projects. Your remit is to supervise and develop the human health exposure assessment team, conduct exposure risk assessments and provide expertise to clients. You must have a good knowledge of the various human health exposure tools, an understanding of the pros and cons of tools for different applications, and potentially, experience of developing new tools. This is an excellent opportunity to make a quantifiable impact on the success of the team and their human health exposure assessment capability.

This role would be ideal for an experienced human health exposure risk assessor or exposure scientist who is looking to move into a team leading role, or an experienced team leader looking for a new challenge and a different way of working. You are likely to have a post graduate qualification in a relevant scientific subject and a number of years’ experience of conducting human health exposure risk assessments for chemical compounds. You must have a sound understanding of tools such as EUSES, CHESAR etc, be an accomplished report writer who is able to act as senior scientist. You’re likely to have a good understanding of relevant chemical regulatory frameworks and an appreciation for the interconnectivity of regulatory data.
