A newly created role and opportunity to take responsibility for all UK regulatory affairs at this global chemical products company. Your role will be to implement all relevant chemical legislation to ensure the compliance of the UK operation. Working closely with EU regulatory colleagues and key personnel in the UK, you will take responsibility for UK regulatory compliance.

This company is the leader in its field; it has a global presence and employs around 1000 people worldwide. The UK division is a manufacturing facility serving the UK market; they import all raw materials from the EU/global suppliers, formulate and distribute finished good to UK customers.
Your role will be to implement UK REACH, UK CLP, manage all raw material/finished goods regulatory data, manage hazard communication (SDS authoring, labels, DG etc), monitor and implement any future changes to legislation and to answer customer regulatory inquiries. The company operates at a very high level of compliance, they have excellent systems and data – they now need the compliance to be implemented and managed in the UK. There is lots of scope for continual development and broadening of this role with future responsibility for other functions eg HSE, technical services etc.

We are looking for a chemist with an established track record in chemical regulatory affairs; you must have proven knowledge of REACH and CLP and be able to take responsibility for compliance with all relevant chemical legislation. You must be a good communicator, be well organised, proactive, able to work autonomously, able to provide advice and solutions and work as part of a close-knit and highly motivated team.
